Ferry sailings to Arran from both Ardrossan and Troon are facing disruption today and tomorrow.
Thursday's 3.20pm sailing between Brodick and Troon was cancelled due to an issue affecting the bow thruster on the chartered vessel MV Alfred.
The ferry had to reposition to Troon to allow further investigations and the Troon service has been cancelled for the rest of the day as a result.
Ferry operators CalMac have warned that due to the ongoing technical issue, all sailings tomorrow (Friday, June 5) are also liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.
An update on Friday's service to Troon is expected after 7pm on Thursday evening.
Meanwhile, weather conditions have forced the cancellation of the 7.20pm sailing from Brodick to Ardrossan this evening.
As a result of the MV Caledonian Isles berthing in Troon overnight, the 7am sailing from Ardrossan to Brodick on Friday has also been cancelled.
CalMac said: "Please note all other sailings are liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice. Livestock and timber will be assessed for shipment on a case by case basis."
