A popular Ayr chippy is set for a fresh look following its return in the coming weeks.
Marco's in Fort Street closed earlier this month for its annual summer break, and is set to reopen on Saturday, July 13.
Works are currently taking place in the kitchen, with its owners thanking staff and customers for their support.
A spokesperson said: "As you all know we have been closed for nearly a week now, but that doesn’t mean the work stops.
"A big thanks to W.Black carpets and flooring for the amazing job we can’t recommend them enough.
"We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for their continued support and custom over this season.
"If it wasn’t for you we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. We survived the air show which was our busiest day on record and we hope to see everyone again at the next one
"Now it’s time to go on our holidays and we will be back after our well deserved three weeks off."
