ROADS bosses have announced details of planned roadworks for this coming week in East and South Ayrshire.

The Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA) carries out road maintenance work on behalf of East and South Ayrshire Council.

Starting on Monday, July 1, ARA is undertaking key works across the region, including in Mauchline, Kilmarnock, Sorn and Ayr.

East Ayrshire

Temporary traffic lights will remain in place on Cleuch Bridge in Sorn for 24 each day until Friday, July 5. This is to allow parapet work to take place.

Gilmour Street in Kilmarnock will have give and take traffic control in place Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.

Also in Kilmarnock, he A759 Dundonald Road have a full road closure from Gargieston Primary School through to Galrigside Road from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.

Mauchline's Beechwood Road will also have a full road closure from Hughfield Road to A76 Kilmarnock Road Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.

Hughfield Road in Mauchline will have a full road closure beginning on Monday, July 8 on two sections of Carriageway between Jean Armour Drive and Beechwood Road from 8am to 6pm.

Cutstraw Road in Stewarton will have a road closure in place between 8am to 4pm from Monday to Friday.

South Ayrshire

Pinmullan Bridge in Barr will have give and take traffic control in place Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.

Belmont, Morton Road, Morton Avenue, Chalmers Avenue and Meadowpark in Ayr will also have give and take traffic control in place for the full week between 8am and 5pm.

Queens Terrace, Kincraig Avenue and Chesney Grove in Maybole will have a full road closure in place Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm each day.

Maybole's Cargill Road will also have a road closure in place, this time for the full week, from 8am to 5pm each day.

Peggieshill Road in Ayr will be closed for carriageway resurfacing fir the full week between 8am and 5pm each day.
