A Troon student has been awarded a prestigious cadet engineering award.
Kai Craig was recognised with the Northern Lighthouse Board Prize for Engineering Cadet of the Yea.
The award, given at City of Glasgow College, celebrates his dedication, hard work, and academic excellence throughout his training.
Kai said: "I am truly honoured and grateful to receive this award.
"Although the last three years have been challenging and hard work, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at college and sea phases and had the opportunity to have sea time on the new mine hunting support ship, RFA Stirling Castle."
Described as a "devoted student since day one", Kai passed all his academic courses and completed his sea time under his sponsoring company, the Royal Fleet Auxiliary.
His Graded Unit project was highly regarded by the assessing lecturer and many faculty staff members, highlighting his exceptional skills and commitment.
Kai said: "I would like to acknowledge the support, guidance, and encouragement shown by family, friends, lecturers, fellow classmates, and colleagues of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary who all have a part to play in my journey to this point today."
The award will be formally presented to Kai at a graduation ceremony on June 20.
