Colonel Doug “Wheels” Wheelock came home via the airport in after spending six months in space. He returned to thank staff for the great service and to meet up with piper, George Grainger, who played for him at the time.
Ayr’s Run It With a Bunnet charity race returned in June 2014, with youngsters and adults starting and finishing the big run at Dam Park.
