People across Ayrshire are encouraged to sign up to the popular Colour Dash fundraiser before it is too late.

Ayrshire Hospice and Ayrshire Cancer Support are inviting supporters to join them for a colourful 5k run around Eglinton Park on Sunday, June 23.

The event also takes place during Pride Month, a celebration of LGBTQ+ communities all around the world.

Participants can run, walk or jog through showers of coloured powder, sliding across the finish line through a 50ft assault course and slide.

However, time is running out and people are being urged to secure their spot on the starting line for Ayrshire's biggest and most colourful event of the summer.

Tracy Flynn, chief executive of Ayrshire Hospice, said: "Pride Month is about acceptance, equality, celebrating the work of LGBTQ+ people, education in LGBTQ+ history, and raising awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community.

"The Ayrshire Hospice is an inclusive and diverse employer, and we are proud to be recognising Pride Month at the Colour Dash event.”

The registration fee covers all expenses, and each participant will receive a white t-shirt, runner number and coloured sunglasses.

At the finish, they will receive water, a snack and a commemorative medal for their fantastic achievement.
