ROADS bosses have announced details of planned roadworks for this coming week in East and South Ayrshire.

Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA) carries out road management work on behalf of East and South Ayrshire Council.

Starting on Monday, June 3, ARA is undertaking key works across the region, including in Girvan, Kilmarnock, Patna and Ayr.

Work will take place in Kirkmichael at Dalvennan Meadow Bridge, with temporary traffic lights in place from Monday to Friday between 8am-4pm.

Girvan's Rowan Road will have road lighting replacement work carried out all week between 8am-5pm.

Gilmour Street in Kilmarnock will also have road lighting replacement work taking place between 8am-5pm all week.

Ayr's Longhill Avenue will have tree felling work being carried out, with a full road closure in place between 9am-3.30pm Monday to Friday.

Footway resurfacing work will take place in Patna from Monday to Saturday, with temporary traffic lights in place from 8am-5pm.

A road closure will be in place on Hurlford's Cessnock Avenue for carriageway resurfacing work from Monday to Friday, with a road closure in place.
