Plans have been lodged in relation to an Ayr restaurant that has been closed for the past 18 months.
A planning application has been submitted to South Ayrshire Council for alterations and extensions to The Waterside on South Harbour Street.
The restaurant closed its doors in July 2022, with the owners saying at the time that hardships "over the past couple of years" lay behind their decision to shut up shop after ten years.
A well-known venue set within an attractive single storey building, including a large terrace, The Waterfront benefits from a substantial private car park to the west of the building.
The premises, which cover 3,145 square feet, was being marketed for sale or lease by Shepherd Chartered Surveyors.
PWR Developments Scotland Ltd has now revealed plans to make changes to the building, including creating new level access doors and creating a new roof over the existing service area.
The full application can be found on South Ayrshire Council's planning portal.
