Three Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft visited Prestwick Airport recently, thrilling plane spotters.
The military jets were seen at the airport as they trained in the area, taking off and landing on its large runway.
The Eurofighter Typhoon is a multi-role fighter and first took to the skies in 2003. It is used by the Royal Air Force, German Air Force, Italian Air Force and Spanish Air Force among others.
Nearly 600 of them have been built around the world, and are based in the UK at RAF Coningsby and RAF Lossiemouth.
Its armament includes internal 27mm Mauser cannon, ASRAAM, Meteor and AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air missiles, Enhanced Paveway II and Paveway IV precision-guided bombs, and Storm Shadow and Brimstone air-to-ground missiles.
Their visit to Prestwick follows an exciting few months for the airport, with the inaugural visit of the Airbus A380 to the region last month.
