A FORMER bank building in South Ayrshire is being put up for sale in an online auction.

The doors of the Royal Bank of Scotland branch in Maybole closed for the last time in 2016, and has been disused ever since, with the exception of the working ATM, which currently leased to RBS.

The building sits in the busy town centre, and extends to around 1,600 square feet. It is a commercial premises with the potential for a change of use.

The former bank building sits next door to a petrol station and shop forecourt, and is a short distance from Turnberry and Culzean Castle.

The auction through Future Property Auctions closes at 3pm on Thursday, with one bid lodged so far of £47,000.
