THREE Ayrshire priests are to move from their current parishes to others elsewhere in the county.
The changes have been announced by Bishop Frank Dougan from the Diocese of Galloway.
The adjustments were confirmed on Monday, May 6, but they will not come into effect until the first weekend in June.
Once in place, the first change will see Father William Boyd move away from this current parishes in Irvine, St Mary's and St John Ogilvie's.
From next month he will become the parish priest of Our Lady of the Assumption and St Meddan's in Troon, St Quivox in Prestwick and St Ann's in Mossblown.
The current priest of two of those parishes - St Ann's and St Quivox - will also be on the move.
Father Stephen Latham will take up the same role at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour in Beith, St Brigid's in Kilbirnie and St Palladius in Dalry.
The current priest of these Garnock Valley parishes, Father Mark Kelly, will move across to Irvine to fill the gap left by Fr William at St Mary's and St John Ogilvie's.
