A shuttle bus service is set to be in operation for The Coral Scottish Grand National at Ayr Racecourse later this month.
ScotRail will be operating the shuttle bus from Prestwick Town train station to Allison Street, a short walk from the racecourse.
The buses will help boost capacity, with limited train services still running through Ayr due to works at the Station Hotel.
The shuttle buses will depart Prestwick Town on a loop between 10am and 9pm on the day of Saturday, April 20.
Scott Prentice, ScotRail Strategic Planning Director, said: "With Ayr station still closed to the public, ScotRail is only able to operate a small number of trains between Prestwick Town and Ayr.
"However, we know how much of a positive impact the Scottish Grand National has on the local economy, and we are doing everything we can to support the expected increase in people travelling."
