Work to repair flooded graves at Ayr Cemetery has been completed, according to South Ayrshire Council.
A total of 126 bodies at the site were exhumed after distressed families were told of the drainage issues in 2022.
They were taken to a facility near Prestwick Airport while the plots were repaired. The work was finally completed in December last year.
However, further drainage issues have also been discovered at Troon cemetery.
There, some 87 graves have been flooded, with 51 of those occupied.
The council says that specialist teams are working on chambers there, with the bodies to be exhumed.
A council spokesperson said: "Work on all occupied chambers in Ayr Cemetery are complete, and the specialist team are now working on chambers at Troon Cemetery.
"We know that this has been an extremely distressing time for families, and we have been in regular contact with them throughout this process.
"We will continue to offer support and liaise with them directly.”
South Ayrshire Council said it had spent £284,000 on re-interments, floral displays and funeral directors.
