A casting call has been issued for this year's Christmas pantomime at the Gaiety Theatre in Ayr.
This year's panto will be Mother Goose by Fraser Boyle and Ken Alexander, and it will run throughout November, December and January.
Rehearsals commence on October 28, with performances running from November 23 this year to January 5, 2025.
The Gaiety is seeking trained, Scottish based performers to join the 2024 panto company.
They welcome applicants from different ethnic backgrounds, socio-economic circumstances, disabled and neurodiverse performers.
They welcome applicants from all backgrounds, particularly under-represented groups for the following ensemble roles:
- Mandy (Female Presenting) Villager/Socialite/Wicked Sprite/Understudy
- Molly (Female Presenting) Villager/Socialite/Wicked Sprite/Understudy
- Mack (Male Presenting) Villager/Socialite/Wicked Sprite/Understudy
- Mo (Male Presenting) Villager/Socialite/Wicked Sprite/Understudy
Core requirements for the roles include exceptionally strong vocal skills, high standard of dance skills, and strong, versatile actors able to understudy multiple roles and handle comedy.
