Two South Ayrshire businesses have been named in a list of companies across the UK that failed to pay workers the minimum wage.
His Majesty's Revenue and Customs has published a list of more than 500 companies across the UK that it says failed to pay either one or several staff members the correct amount.
Employers on the list were ordered to repay the amount - and also faced penalties for their failure to pay the proper wage originally.
The list states that Jan De Vries Health Care Limited in Troon failed to pay £11,137.93 to one worker.
It also includes Costley & Costley Hoteliers Limited in Ayr, who failed to pay £10,136.07 to 91 workers.
Both businesses have been contacted for comment.
