A popular Ayr restaurant is hosting a fundraising night to help send five talented tenpin bowlers to an international competition.
The five youngsters, Sarah Scott, Isla Claxton, Kelsi Cuthbert, Aaron Claxton and Ben Wallace, have all been selected to play at the European Youth Championships in Helsinki next month.
The talented bowlers, who are all under 18, are part of team Jedibowling YBC, which runs after school on Tuesdays and on Saturday mornings.
They all also play in league competitions twice a week and train most Sundays at their home club, LA Bowl in Ayr's Miller Road.
The team mostly funds itself for hotel and travel expenses, though it receives some help from Scottish Tenpin Bowling.
An appeal has been launched to help the team with the cost of attending the event, which runs from March 23 to April 1.
And a special fundraising night is taking place at The Balgarth Pines on Saturday, February 24 with all proceeds going to the fundraiser.
The night includes a three course meal, raffle prizes and games, live entertainment and special guests.
Tickets cost £29.99 and to book a place call 01292 442441.
