The opening of a new beachfront chippy in Ayr is edging closer - with an April opening date in sight.
Jo Goudie, who owned the popular A Plaice to Be in Kilmarnock, last year announced her plans to open up a new takeaway in Ayr's Bath Place.
Jo plans to open up her new venture in the former Waverley Cafe at the heart of the town's seafront and she says plans are continuing to open its doors in the coming months.
She said: "Anyone who knows me knows it’s always been a dream of mine to have a fish and chip/seafood plaice at a beachfront.
"Apart from my award winning fish and chips that are cooked in a bespoke batter, we will be offering a variety of local seafood cooked fresh to order as always.
"With our new site right on the beach, I want to give customers the best fish & chip/seafood experience Ayrshire has to offer.
"I can’t wait to show you all what I’ve been working on. I’m working hard in the background trying to get everything in place for a smooth opening."
