The Maybole Regeneration Project Team is looking for views on plans to transform Maybole High Street.
New designs to improve footways, street junctions and public spaces, will feature at two public drop-in events at Maybole Town Hall on Wednesday, February 21 from 4pm-7pm and on Saturday, February 24 from 12noon-3pm.
Councillor Bob Pollock, economic development portfolio holder for South Ayrshire Council said: “Since the opening of the bypass, Maybole has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make significant improvements.
"The aim is to rebalance the high street to make the best use of space for pedestrians, sustainable forms of travel as well as motorists.
Councillor Alec Clark, the authority's portfolio holder for tourism, culture and rural affairs, added: “The scheme would use high-quality materials in keeping with Maybole’s historic buildings such as the town hall and castle.
"This is a chance to create an attractive and bustling town centre which better serves the local community, businesses, and visitors.”
People can also have their say by filling in the online survey which will be available from Wednesday, February 21 until Friday, March 15 at www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/consultations
Feedback from the consultation will be used to firm up designs.
