BUDDING young artists in Ayrshire are being sought for a nationwide competition celebrating the work of the RNLI.
Young people across Scotland are being invited to design an image reflecting the lifesaving work of RNLI for the cover of Scotmid's magazine, Jigsaw.
The collaboration commemorates Scotmid’s ongoing charity partnership with RNLI that began last year and will last till August.
Entrants are required to highlight the RNLI's spirit over the years, emphasising courage, community spirit, and inspiration in their designs.
The winning design will be shared with thousands of Scotmid members, and the winner will earn an exclusive package of RNLI prizes.
Kirsty Connell, membership and community manager at Scotmid, said: "This competition is a wonderful way to commemorate such a huge milestone for the RNLI and our shared commitment to our communities.
"Partnering with the RNLI has been a privilege, as their tireless efforts serve as a lifeline.
"We're excited to provide young artists a platform to express their creativity and honour the invaluable work of RNLI volunteers."
The theme focuses on embodying the RNLI and its two centuries of selfless, courageous, and dependable life-saving efforts.
Entrants have until April 19 to submit their artwork to competition@scotmid.co.uk, or to the Scotmid Membership Team, Hillwood House, Harvest Drive, Newbridge, EH28 8QJ.
Paul McKeown, fundraising and partnership lead for the RNLI in Scotland, said: "What a fantastic way for young people to showcase their creativity and join us in celebrating this significant milestone.
"We eagerly anticipate seeing the entries and appreciate Scotmid's support and dedication to our cause."
The funds raised from the charity partnership will enable the RNLI to acquire a new Atlantic 85 lifeboat.
This will be included as part of the RNLI's relief fleet and will play an important role during crucial rescues when the regular vessels are under repair or maintenance.
