A BRAND new exhibition on the history of the Carrick area is set to go on show at a new community space in Maybole later this month.
The former charity shop in the town’s High Street has been completely renovated as part of the Maybole Regeneration project and is now known as The Gatherings.
And the Carrick History Society is keen to show what can be done with the new space.
Simon Glendenning, chair of the Carrick History Society, said: “The work that has been done to this shop is phenomenal! I was completely blown away by the stunning changes and the attention to detail.
"I’m really looking forward to pointing out all the nods to local heritage in the design.”
The Carrick History Society's display will be on show in The Gatherings, 44 High Street, Maybole from Monday, February 26 until Friday, March 1, between 1pm and 8pm each day.
Entry is free and everyone is welcome.
The Gatherings is run by the North Carrick Community Benefit Company; to find out more about their work, see nccbc.org.uk or check out the ‘Improving North Carrick’ page on Facebook.
