A POPULAR Ayrshire business has closed suddenly.
The Hanger Preloved Superstore previously operated businesses across the county, first on Ayr High Street.
Last year saw the retailer of second hand and new clothes then expand with a new premises opened in Irvine.
When the doors swung open on the town's High Street in October, life was brought back to the former Happit store in Irvine for the first time in around a decade.
While a similar move was also on the horizon, with the business also due to take over the former Shoe Zone store in Saltcoats which was left empty when the retailer vacated the town in January 2023.
However, The Hanger now appears to have shut up shop at all locations, with both their premises in Ayr and Irvine now closed.
The Irvine store has also been seen listed for sale online since the sudden closure.
And in Saltcoats, the former Shoe Zone property has also come onto the market now with The Hanger never able to open in the town.
Further to this, the former Facebook page operated by the business has since been removed from the social media site.
No reason has been given as to why The Hanger has had to shut up shop and the business owners declined to comment on the matter at this stage.
