An iconic Troon seafront takeaway is set to be revamped with the addition of a cafe area.
The South Beach Kiosk on St Meddan's Street has been a much-loved stop for people visiting the seafront for many years.
Proposals were lodged late last year to add a cafe element with seating to the building, which also includes public toilets.
Internally it is proposed to reconfigure the space to change the use of some of the current public toilet space to a café associated with the existing hot food takeaway kiosk.
The proposed external physical works associated with the development include the installation of bi fold doors to the access the proposed café area.
Works also include the installation of blue timber cladding to the exterior of the entire building and the installation of replacement windows and doors serving both the existing kiosk and reconfigured public toilets.
Council planners found no fault with the application, and it was approved in late January.
