Plans to create two new aparthotel suits in the centre of Ayr have been given the green light.
Proposals for a category B listed building at 21 Wellington Square were put forward by 3 Sigma Ayr, last year.
The company is looking to convert currently vacant office space into boutique aparthotel suites.
The suites would provide overnight accommodation for UK and overseas guests, with a particular focus on the area's golf market.
Each suite would include a living space with a large sofa, high speed internet, a small kitchenette, desk, double bed and shower room.
Access will be via a digital keypad, and there will be one private parking space per apartment at the rear of the property.
The plans were approved by council officials last months, with a condition that work must begin within three years.
