A new restaurant in Ayr's town centre has launched its takeaway and delivery service.

Priya Authentic Indian Kitchen has confirmed that their latest premises in Sandgate are now open for business.

The move sees the popular business expand from its existing venue in the Doonfoot area.

The opening follows months of hard work after the team from Priya initially took over the vacant premises at 58 Sandgate during the first half of 2023.

At present, the business is only open for takeaways and deliveries.

However, food lovers will soon be able to dine inside the restaurant next month.

A spokesperson from Priya said: "We are delighted to announce the opening of our new restaurant Priya Authentic Indian Kitchen at 58 Sandgate in Ayr. 

"We have been working away tirelessly to bring to you another new eatery.

"We here at Priya look forward to welcoming you all and hoping to continue our journey of great food and tantalising those taste buds, bringing the flavours of the Eastern world into our world.

"The restaurant is only open for takeaway and deliveries at the moment. The dine-in will be available in February."
