The annual Carrick Burns Supper is set to be held in Kirkoswald later this month.
The big event, organised by Carrick Burns Club, will take place on Saturday, January 20, starting at 6pm.
It will be held at The Richmond, home of Souter Johnny and Tam O’ Shanter.
At the start of the evening, the winner of the club's school poetry competition last year will perform her winning recital.
She will then be presented with a trophy commissioned by the club's patron Lord David Kennedy, The Marquess of Ailsa.
Carrick Burns Club hold poetry competitions at Girvan Primary, Girvan Sacred Heart Primary, Ballantrae Primary, Colmonell Primary and Maidens Primary Schools, with the overall winner presenting the winning recital at the following year's supper.
This assists in supporting the teaching of the Scots Language and is included in the Curriculum for Excellence.
