Shuttle services between Ayr and Prestwick Town will resume from Boxing Day.
The service, which was introduced following the large fire at the Ayr Station Hotel, was suspended on December 19 due to unsafe conditions at the station.
ScotRail has now announced that services will resume, with two trains per hour in each direction.
A spokesperson said: "We'll be able to reinstate the shuttle train between Prestwick Town & Ayr from Boxing Day.
"Services will depart Prestwick Town at 20 minutes and 53 minutes past each hour. Trains will leave Ayr at 25 minutes and 55 minutes past each hour."
