South Ayrshire leaders attended a special service at Ayr's Auld Kirk this week.
The event marked the rededication of a stained glass window in the church's Trades Loft.
The window, dating back to 1861, was recently restored and re-installed thanks to a generous donation from local community group Ayr Guildry.
Allan Dorans, MP for Ayr, and Provost Iain Campbell attended the ceremony.
Mr Dorans said: "Lovely service at the Auld Kirk of Ayr this morning, conducted by the Rev David Gemmell, rededicating the beautifully restored stained-glass window in the Trades Loft, which had been originally donated to the Church by the Ayr Guildry in 1861.
"Pleased to have been present in my dual role as the Vice Dean of the Ayr Guildry and as the Member of Parliament for Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock and privileged to be invited to light the first Advent Candle during the Church Service."
