A joiner formerly living in Ayr and Irvine has been named on the government's latest list of tax defaulters.
HMRC’s Publishing Details of Deliberate Defaulters (PDDD) scheme provides information about people and businesses given financial penalties for failing to comply with tax obligations or deliberately filing errors in tax returns.
Details are published when a person or business has made at least one deliberate default on more than £25,000, according to HMRC.
The list is updated every three months and the information wiped after a year.
The latest update was released at the end of November.
Joiner Scott Thompson was named on the website for having apparent unpaid taxes.
According to the public information, Thompson was formerly of 13 Larchwood Road, Ayr, KA7 3TA and 16 Duncan Drive, Irvine, KA12 0HY.
The period of default was listed between April 6, 2018 and April 5, 2021.
It added that the total amount of tax/duty on which penalties are based was £53,602.
The total amount of penalties charged stood at £32,289.16.
