A MAN is fighting for his life in hospital following a crash in South Ayrshire.
Police are now appealing to the public for any information on the incident, which happened on the B742 between Annbank and Coylton on Sunday, November 26.
One blue Volkswagen Up was involved in the incident, which took place shortly after 6pm.
Two men, aged 42 and 34, were inside the car at the time of the crash.
Emergency services attended and the 34-year-old passenger was taken to hospital where his condition is described as 'critical'.
The 42-year-old driver of the car was uninjured.
Police added that a 42-year-old male had been arrested and has since been released pending further enquiries.
The road was closed to allow crash investigators access to the location, but is understood to have re-opened since.
Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “I am appealing to anyone who was travelling on the road around the time of the crash to contact us with any information they may have.
"If anyone has dash cam footage, please check the images. Any small piece of detail could assist us in establishing the full circumstances of the crash.”
