A popular online food reviewer gave a hit Ayr restaurant and takeaway a try over the weekend - and gave it a four star review.

Dazza, who is well-known across Scotland for his food reviews and his online 'Does it Fry?' series, headed to Tempura in Ayr to give their Peppercorn Munchie Box a try. 

The box for one comes with loaded fries, tempura halloumi fries and a single chicken and haggis tempura burger. 

Seated on a pink plastic table and chair in his 'mate David's hoose', Dazza was blown away by the munchie box, even considering bathing in the peppercorn sauce. 

He said: "You get two deep fried bits of cheese, a burger and a big daud of chips, I think that's all right. 

"For the peppercorn munchie box, i'm going to give it a four out of five. Tempura in Ayr has got a banging rating."
