An Ayr coffee house has announced it has made the "difficult decision" to close its doors.
Barefaced Food, based at North Harbour Industrial Estate, has said it will close the bakery and coffee house at the end of this month.
However, it is not all bad news, as the team say they have been working on an online platform "devoted to food, nutrition and lifestyle".
In a social media statement they said: "After much thought and consideration, we've taken the difficult decision to close our beloved Barefaced Bakery and Coffee House.
"As you can imagine this has been a tough call to make.
There is, however, a silver lining. While this marks the end of one chapter, it's the beginning of a whole new adventure on the Barefaced Journey.
"For the last few months we’ve been busy in the background creating an exciting new online resource which we’ll be launching soon, devoted to food, nutrition and lifestyle.
"We’ll be posting more about this over the coming weeks so stay tuned."
They added: "We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing support over the last four years as we’ve grown from being a home -based delivery service to a thriving, award winning business in the community.
"You've made our cafe a very special place, and your loyalty and support has meant the world to us. When we close our doors at the end of this month, without question what we’ll miss the most is you.
"We’re hoping it’s not goodbye though and that you’ll continue to be part of our beautiful community as we move into our new online space.
"In the meantime we’d like to say thank you to each and every one of you for being part of our Barefaced family."
