Staff and residents at Templeton House Care Home in Ayr held a celebration after achieving good ratings following a recent inspection.
The Racecourse Road home was delighted with the results, being rated as an overall Good care home with four Good ratings and one Very Good rating for ‘How good is our setting’.
And there was a party for the residents and the staff to mark the occasion.
The framework employed by the Care Inspectorate evaluates the effectiveness of a care service in terms of its support of residents’ well-being, leadership, care and support planning as well as the quality of staff and the home environment.
Some of the wonderful comments that residents and relatives shared with the inspectors during the inspection included:
"Staff are very attentive and the care provided is genuine – I can just tell that it comes from the heart."
‘"We saw a few places before choosing Templeton and it’s by far the nicest home we saw."
Donna Walker, the home manager, said this week: "Our dedicated and caring team really do go the extra mile every day to ensure that our lovely residents care needs are met but we go much further than that, offering a lifestyle with lots of variety, choice and more importantly fun and laughter.
"We pride ourselves in being a really good care home and are proud of our 9.9 review score on Carehome.co.uk. Though to have had this rating by the Care Inspectorates is a real testament to my amazing team and who I am so fortunate to work with."
The big party to celebrate the latest inspection results was enjoyed by the team and residents alike.
