An Ayr gym is all set to be open on a 24/7 basis.

Force Fitness, situated at the Mosshill Industrial Estate, recently announced the news via social media.

It means that from October 30, members will be able to access the fitness centre whenever they want, using a fingerprint system. 

A Force Fitness statement said: "It’s all coming together and the finishing touches are being made.

"Can we ask again that if you haven’t already done so, please register your fingerprint at reception to access the gym as the turnstile is now fully operational and it cannot be accessed through the side gap now.

"Also please ensure your memberships are up to date as no entry can be gained on a defaulted account.

"If you have any problems accessing the gym or using the turnstile then please call the number provided at the gym entrance and we can assist you.

"The official live date when the gym will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week is Monday, October 30.

"Please remember the gym will not be available to non members after 9pm. Any non members who wish to access the gym on a pay as you go basis can do so by using the sign up link and selecting the day pass option.

"We have updated our age restrictions and no one under the age of 16 is permitted to use the gym.

"For the safety of our members our premises is under 24 hour CCTV and we ask that the gym and our equipment is respected at all times."
