An update has been given by South Ayrshire Council on a second fire at Ayr Station Hotel.
The B-listed building erupted in flames last week, with three teens arrested over the incident.
And yesterday, during routine checks, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) discovered a small fire within the former Station Hotel building.
This has now been extinguished, and SFRS will revisit the site to assess the area.
Safety works are continuing on the clock tower.

Workers at Ayrshire Roads Alliance are working with the appointed contractor, CPMS, to install an additional temporary pedestrian crossing on Station Bridge Road (at the eastern end, adjacent to the Market Inn).
This will improve pedestrian access to the temporary replacement bus service.
The Council has said that their priority is to work with partners to carry out the necessary safety works to allow the bridge and train line to re-open as quickly as possible.
South Ayrshire Council will give more information as it becomes available.
