Officials are to examine footage of the remains of Ayr's Station Hotel, following a blaze at the building last week.
South Ayrshire Council will look at the footage, after Network Rail carried out a drone inspection of the site.
Last week firefighters battled flames at the hotel, with the scenes causing road closures and traffic delays. Trains to and from Ayr are expected to remained cancelled for the immediate future.
Three teens have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Meanwhile, South Ayrshire Council (SAC) has said that safety works will begin today by council contractor Caskie to remove loose materials from the fire damaged tower and roofline.
Scaffolding contractor Zenith will also be sending in a drone to inspect the damage to their scaffolding.
Station Bridge Road remains closed.
South Ayrshire Council will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
