DRIVERS in Ayrshire are being warned of roadworks which will close a section of the A77 trunk route later this month.
Resurfacing work will be carried out by infrastructure company Amey on a stretch of the road at Turnberry.
The work will see the road closed between 8am until 6pm each night from Tuesday, September 26 until Tuesday, October 3.
Amey, which is undertaking the work on behalf of Transport Scotland, says a signed diversion will be in operation.

The signed diversion will see northbound traffic directed off the A77 at Turnberry and on to the A719, continuing straight on at Pennyglen towards the B7023 and then rejoining the A77 at Maybole.
Southbound traffic will follow the same diversion in reverse.
Amey says the work is weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
