Ayrshire residents in some parts of the region were treated to the stunning Northern Lights overnight.
The natural phenomenon, also known as the Aurora Borealis, turned the night sky green and purple as the light danced in the dark.
The lights were spotted along the Ayrshire coast, with Largs snapper The Trusty Tripod capturing this scene next to the town's famous Pencil monument.
The scene was also captured by snapper Geraldine Hobbs, who caught the vivid colours dancing in the night sky.
