A teenager who had been reported missing from the Coylton area has been traced "safe and well", according to police.
Officers had put out an appeal yesterday afternoon (September 11) for help finding 14-year-old Ellie McCann, who had not been seen since Saturday evening.
This morning, Ayrshire officers provided an update, saying that Ellie had been found.
They said: "We can confirm that Ellie McCann, who had been reported missing from the Coylton area, has been traced safe and well.
"We’d like to thank the public for their assistance."
