AYR Rugby Club has announced the extension of a sponsorship agreement with a Scottish food firm.

Distribution company Albert Bartlett will be the shirt sponsors of all the Millbrae club's teams and age groups - from children all the way up to the Ayrshire Bulls pro franchise.

The company's Albert Bartlett & Scotty Brand logos appear on the new kit as part of the new multi-year agreement.

The sponsorship by the fourth-generation family-owned company of Ayr Rugby reflects the importance that the area plays in their operations.

The company, based in North Lanarkshire, has worked with farmers in Ayrshire for more than 40 years and says the partnership will help both the company and the club promote healthy eating and career opportunities in the food sector.

Brand and Marketing Director at Albert Bartlett, John Hicks, said: “The Club is a central part of the Ayrshire community and their values and vision for how they build on that are hugely aligned with how we want to impact the communities that we operate within."

Graeme Ferguson, general manager at Ayr Rugby, added: “It is a very exciting time at Ayr Rugby Club with plans recently released for a multi-million-pound makeover of their famous Millbrae home along with the acquisition of Dam Park stadium.

"Having a sponsor such as Albert Bartlett buy into our vision is a real statement of intent.”
