Ayr Beach has been named the fourth best beach in the UK, according to a recent survey.
Travel experts Omio analysed price points for ice cream, bottled water and beer, weather data and public ratings for 75 popular beaches to reveal the best beaches to spend this summer.
And Ayr's coastline was placed in the top five of the list due to its high public rating and low ice-cream cost.

The local beach was beaten to a top three spot by Woolacombe Beach, Gorleston-on-Sea beach and Barmouth beach.
Ayr Beach was, unsurprisingly, one of the chillier beaches on the list, with the West Sands Beach by St Andrews and Ayr Beach at around 13 degrees celsius in summer on average.
Cleopatra Beach in Alanya, Turkey, was voted the best beach in Europe.
