A driver safety event has taken place in Troon.
Experienced drivers got the chance to brush up on their driving knowledge and receive advice from road safety professionals at an event organised by Ayrshire Roads Alliance and North Ayrshire Council road safety teams.
The free event, held at the Marine Hotel in Troon, involved presentations from Police Scotland Road Policing, Urquhart Opticians and Scottish Fire and Rescue/Scottish Ambulance Service.

Guests also got to try the online Highway Code Theory and Hazard Perception tests, test their brake reaction times and visit various information stands.
Also there to give out advice were Safety Camera Scotland, Living Streets, Trinity Active Travel and South Ayrshire Council Trading Standards, Leisure and Health and Social Care Partnership.
Local members of RoSPA Advanced Drivers and IAM Roadsmart carried out assessed drives in drivers' own vehicles on the day too.
