A Girvan care home has met several requirements expected of it by the Care Inspectorate after being labelled "weak".
However, a demand to meet medical improvements was not met, a new report has confirmed.
Ainslie Manor in the town's Stranraer Road, which caters for 45 older people, including those with dementia, was rated as 'weak' in three key categories in a previous report submitted in May of this year.
The 'weak' grades were given to the home's support for wellbeing, its leadership and its staff team.
The home's care and support for residents, setting, and facilities were described as adequate.
Ainslie Manor, which is run by Cumloden Nursing Homes Ltd, was given until July 6 to improve medication management, staff training and recruitment.
A more recently published report from the Care Inspectorate has confirmed that the local care home has met some of the requirements asked of it including wellbeing, staff training, and recruitment and quality assurance systems.

However, the same report found that regular medication audits were not being adhered to as requested.
The report said: "Only one medication audit had taken place in the timescale given. We expected to see more regular audits carried out on safe medication management, therefore have extended this requirement.
"By August 4, 2023 the provider will ensure that management undertake regular and relevant audits of medication to ensure the competency of staff, to assess safe medication management.
"As there was only one audit done in the eight week timeframe, it was not possible to evaluate any actions taken. The manager had put a system in place where nurses on shift check each other's medication, this was good practice as it identified errors quickly.
"As there was no evidence of these checks we requested that a sign sheet be introduced; this was actioned on the day of inspection. From the completed one audit the manager took actions but did not note any actions taken.
"It is good practice to record the outcome of audits as this feeds into the action plan. This part was not met.
"Minimal observations had been carried out, we saw evidence of only two. Therefore, it was not possible to evaluate them properly. This part was not met."
