A by-election is set to take place in a South Ayrshire Council ward.
Ward 8 (Girvan and South Carrick) will hold the election next month after incumbent councillor Peter Henderson decided to retire at the end of June 2023 due to ill-health.
Mr Henderson was formerly the leader of South Ayrshire Council, before the Conservatives took control in last year's election.
And South Ayrshire Council confirmed the by-election date on its website.
