Heathfield Primary pupils celebrated their end of term with a special afternoon at a Prestwick restaurant.
The Ayr students marked the end of the year at The Vine restaurant where the Primary 5 class enjoyed a trip to the beach before heading to the popular venue for juice, cakes and colouring as a reward for reading 30 million words over the course of the school year.
Jennifer Webster, P5 teacher at Heathfield Primary, said: “We’re incredibly proud, both for the pupils’ reading achievement and the way they represented themselves and their school during their activity day.”
John Kennedy, general manager at The Vine, added: “It was a pleasure to welcome the P5 class from Heathfield Primary last month.
"What a brilliant achievement and a fantastic way to round off an amazing school year.”
