ROADS bosses in South Ayrshire have revealed details of planned roadworks taking place across the area in the next seven days.
The regular list of planned works issued by the Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA) includes the installation of lighting in Ayr and Prestwick, resurfacing in Maybole and pavement works in Coylton, to name a few.
The list of ARA works is in addition to the resurfacing work taking place on the southbound A77 between the Meiklewood and Grassyards interchanges, for which a contraflow is in place between 6am on Saturday and 8pm on Sunday.
The ARA roadworks in South Ayrshire for the week from Monday, July 24 to Monday, July 31 are as follows.
Ayr
Larchwood Road (above), Hawthorn Drive and surrounding area: Lighting installation works from 8am-4pm, July 24-28 and again on July 31. One side of road closed off with drivers able to pass at their discretion when the road is clear. Slight delays expected.
Prestwick
Carnell Crescent and Mossbank: Lighting installation works from 8am-4pm, July 24-28 and again on July 31. One side of road closed off with drivers able to pass at their discretion when the road is clear. Slight delays expected.
Maybole
B7023 Crosshill Road: CLOSED between 8am and 5pm, July 24-28 and again on July 31 for carriageway resurfacing works. Moderate delays expected.

In addition to the works listed above, there are two stretches of road outwith South Ayrshire where roadworks are taking place that may have an impact on drivers in the area.
Parapet and masonry repairs will take place on the A70, at the Burnock Bridge in Ochiltree, daily from July 24-31 inclusive. Traffic signals will be in place 24 hours a day but only slight delays are expected.
And in Patna, Blaney Avenue will be closed for resurfacing work between 8am and 5pm from July 24-28 only. Again, only slight delays are predicted.
Meanwhile, the A77 works north of Kilmarnock, affecting southbound drivers only, will see further overnight closures from Monday, July 24 until Wednesday, July 26 from 8pm until 6am, with traffic diverted off the M77 at the Fenwick interchange on to the B7038.
A diversionary route will be signposted through Kilmarnock itself, directing traffic to rejoin the A77 at the Bellfield interchange.
