A LEGEND of Ayrshire football is looking to impart his knowledge onto others after retiring from the game.
Ian Cashmore hung up his boots at the end of last season after glittering career which took him to a fair few clubs across Ayrshire.
Across his 22-year career, the popular striker had spells at Irvine Victoria, Troon, Ayr United, Stranraer, Stirling Albion, Glenafton, Auchinleck, Cumnock, Girvan, Dalry, Ardrossan Winton Rovers, and most famously Kilwinning Rangers.
And though his list of former clubs is long, they all have one thing in common, 'Cashy' scored goals for them.
Cashy called it quits after a stint with his local amateur side Dirrans Athletic back in May, and when we spoke to the man himself he hinted that a "striker school" was on the horizon.
This week, those plans have come to fruition as Ian Cashmore's Striker School was launched on social media.
Cashy's classes begin next month, on Wednesday August 16, where he will be passing his knowledge onto the next generation.
The sessions will take place at the multi-sports pitches at Kilwinning Community Sports Club and will begin by looking at finishing and striker movements.
Sessions for eight to ten-year-olds will take place first from 6-6.45pm before a later class at 7-7.45pm for 11-13 year-olds.
The classes will run for a block of eight weeks with spaces limited. Those interested in getting involved should contact the school's Facebook page here.
