Ewan told the BBC: "I'm writing an album right now and me and Calvin Harris have got a track on it.
"We both play different music but the amount of respect I have for him, for everything he's done and the fact he's Scottish as well, is just insane."
In the documentary, Ewan then goes on to share his love for his hometown: "Ayr, it's a wee town but it's my town, d'you know what I mean?
"I'm just excited to be putting stuff back into it."
