A EUROPEAN Philharmonic group is all set to play in Ayr this summer.
After an absence of several years, the musicians of the Chamber Philharmonic Europe from Cologne will return to the area.
The Chamber Philharmonic Europe tours widely throughout Europe, last year performing 44 concerts.
The concert includes Bach's Concerto for 2 violins in D minor with soloists Pawel Zuzanski and Andrey Sur; Elgar's Serenade for Strings; Rachmaninov's Vocalise; and Mozart's Divertimento in F Major. The opening item is Corelli's Concerto Grosso in D Major, followed by Neruda's Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra in E-flat Major with soloist Cyrill Gussaroff.
