A HOLLYWOOD film star and British icon has been spotted in a luxury Troon Hotel.
Hugh Grant, star of popular rom-coms including Notting Hill, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Love Actually and About A Boy, was a guest of Highgrove House Hotel, where staff were delighted to meet him.
The luxury hotel posted to its thanks to the 62-year-old star via social media.
A Facebook post said: "We had the absolute pleasure of having Hugh Grant as one of our guests last night."
It is understood that Grant is in the area to film HBO series The Regime with co-star Kate Winslet.
