Ayr's Photographic Society have published some spectacular images from their recent annual event.
The Ayr Photographic Society is one of the oldest camera clubs in Scotland, founded in 1905.
The society welcomes photographers of all skill levels, from beginners to professionals, and aims to provide a friendly environment for members to learn and grow their photography skills.
During the summer months, the society hosts on-location shooting evenings, providing a hands-on opportunity for members to receive help and advice from more experienced photographers.
Potential members are welcome to attend two meetings as a guest before deciding to join and become a member of the APS.
The Society recently held their premier competition for its members to submit their best images of the season, with subjects ranging from landscapes to studio works and even a skydiver.
Winners included:
- Hatcheck Girl by Steven Lawrie Callan Trophy for best intriguing image
- Magical Morning by Mike Blair Blair Trophy for best landscape
- The Modern Wait by James Stevenson Symington Trophy for best human Interest
- Snow Monkeys by Alastair Swan Margaret Beck Shield for best natural history
- Cheeky Sunset Session by Steven Tait Cooper Trophy for best intermediate DPI
- Dive Dive Dive by James Stevenson McCallum trophy for best Advanced DPI
- Aria's Violin by Michele Campbell Clapperton / Swan Shield for best overall DPI
The competition attracted more than 80 images.
